A handy way to learn

You’d never expect that one of the best tools for developing your child’s memory lies, literally, in his hands. With just his fingers, your child can grasp an astounding number of topics through song and rhyme. Start with a lesson on family relationships with our finger puppet printables below, and discover a fun, new way for hands-on learning.

Let the fingers do the teaching

Place the printed puppets on your child’s fingers and point to each digit as you address each family member. Start with your immediate family, before including grandpa, grandma, aunts, and uncles. If you’re musically inclined, turn it into a catchy song – it makes it easier for your child to learn.

Get vocal with your fingers as you start to sing along to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. You can choose to use the names in your family instead, and just let the lyrics guide you.

Daddy, Daddy, where are you?
Mummy, Mummy, is that you?
Brother, Brother, I saw you.
Sister, Sister, I found you.
Baby, Baby, my little boo…
All you do is say “hoo hoo”.
